The Nonino family has been dedicated to the Art of Distillation since 1897. December 1, 1973, Benito and Giannola created Monovitigno® Nonino, revolutionizing the system of producing and presenting Grappa in Italy and worldwide. November 29, 1975, they established the Nonino Risit d’Aur – Golden Grapevine Cutting Award to stimulate, reward, and officially recognize the ancient native Friulian grape varieties and preserve the biodiversity of the territory. November 27, 1984, the Noninos distilled whole grapes and created Grape Distillate: ÙE®. Since 2007, the Noninos have continued the evolution of Grappa—Italian Cocktail Spirit, the protagonist of fantastic cocktails and Aperitifs #bebravemixgrappa. 2020 Nonino is elected ‘World’s Best Distillery’ Spirit Brand/Distiller of the Year 2019 by Wine Enthusiast. May 10, 2024, Cristina, Antonella, and Elisabetta Nonino are awarded the prestigious XV Guido Carli Award for entrepreneurial merit, which is given to individuals who have distinguished themselves for their social commitment, entrepreneurial successes, and for bringing luster to Italian talent and genius worldwide.
